Ezra Alpheas Chipman in Bandera in 1907
In 1907 Bandera County pioneer Ezra Alpheas Chipman was captured on film with some of his family in this large photo.
Ezra Alpheus Chipman (Bepo) died in this house in Bandera. His daughter and son-in-law (Mr. & Mrs. Jack Olliff) are standing just to his left, the other two are his grand-daughters Gladys and Bessie Olliff. Ezra was born in 1817. In this photo he is about 90 years old... Ezra was a polygamist with 3 wives in his time before he came to Texas to live with only one wife. |
