This North American native deciduous tree provides rich green

foliage

during the warm season, turning shades of orange, yellow, red among cooler temperatures in early to mid Fall. Small clusters of reddish flowers appear in late Winter to early Spring for the pollinators to enjoy. Following the flowers come red, or green winged seeds (helicopters) that fall to the ground, often enjoyed by birds and squirrels alike. Its upright, rounded to oval shape makes a great shade tree that grows very fast. Ideal specimen shade tree, groupings in sunny landscapes, woodland borders, around outdoor sitting or living spaces.

Planting-General	Likes sand, loam, silt and clay soil. Moist but well drained. Soil pH range 5.0 to 7.5. Acidic to Neutral.
Planting-Spacing	Plant 20-25Ft. apart for privacy screen. 60Ft.+ between each other. Space 20Ft.+ from your home or driveway.
Watering	Average to low once established. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock when planting.
Fertilizing	Feed in early spring with slow release fertilize for shrubs & trees.
Pruning	Prune in the late Summer, or early Fall. This ensures less sap bleeding. Remove dead, damaged branches along with any cross or inward growing branches. Avoid cuts more than a few inches in diameter.
Deer	Deer do not favor their taste. Specifically in the late Fall and Winter. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
Flowers	Provides showy clusters of small reddish flowers in early Spring, bringing nectar for pollinators, prior to leaves arrival. Come late Spring winged seeds form turning red, or brown before they drop.
