Growth Rate	Fast once established. Typically, 1-2Ft. per year.
Sun	Part Sun – Full Sun. At least 5 hours of direct sun.

Planting-General	Dig hole 1x root ball deep, and 1X root ball wide to accommodate the roots. Spread roots around and fill in with dirt so that the crown is at soil level. Likes clay (amended), loam, sand (amended) and silt. Likes well drained moist soil. Soil pH range of 5.5-7.5 (moderately acid to slightly alkaline).
Planting-Spacing	Plant 4Ft. apart center to center for tight hedge. Plant 8Ft.+ apart center to center for more space.
Watering	Average. Low once established. If a dry spell occurs, provide a deep watering once or twice a week to mimic rainfall. Can add Root Stimulation which helps early root development and strengths roots, as well as, reduces plant shock.
Fertilizing	Feed in spring, and again in late summer.
Pruning	Prune in late Winter, or early Spring before new growth starts. Very tolerant of a hard pruning. This will increase blooms later. Blooms on new wood.
Deer	Deer do favor their taste. If in a high deer area, spray every 3 to 6 months with deer repellent.
