still working to help God make this World a better place
“Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes.”
For me, this is not only about death. It is also about everyday life.
The Master, Jesus Christ, comes into my life in all the people that come into my life. “What you do to the least of mine, you do unto me.”
I try to make my relationships, each encounter with another, ACE: affirming, consoling and encouraging.
That is what Jesus does to me as I talk with him – and recognise him, in my friends, allies-in-life and the beauty of nature.
Stay awake to the divine in SON: your Self, Others and Nature.
Realise God’s loving presence is there in your heart and conscience.
Recognise God’s presence in others, in people around you, wherever you are. Remember that much of God’s love for you comes to you in your friends.
Delight in the beauty of nature and God’s immensely rich creative imagination there displayed.
Have you noticed how every week the flowers around the Tabernacle are fresh and always beautiful?
A good friend whose marriage I celebrated in the early eighties and who is now retired, works as a volunteer in Kew Gardens and takes me there for a stroll every few weeks. The beauty there, especially the trees, lifts my spirits sky high.
Awake to God’s presence in your life will enhance your gratitude. Be grateful. Don’t take things for granted and miss so much. As you know, gratitude refreshed the spirit. Every Sunday morning my spirit is refreshed. I will let you work out why!
