The teachers’ task is not limited to preparing and teaching a program of study even if it is the main one. Their responsibility extends to maintaining and transmitting, to the new generations of citizens, the ethical principles of the society in which they live and teach. It is for this reason that the teachers’ conduct and behaviour must be impeccable, in private or in community life, in order to attain the respect and dignity that society gives to them.
Ethics
I want to become a teacher because my passion is learning. The truth is that learning is I do best of all. I feel the necessity to share what I'm learning because teaching places sense to my life. Teaching became my mission and the purpose to my life. That is not new for me, I was a teacher's assistant at school and the tutor at the university. I was a university professor in Colombia, and I was a Spanish teacher at the University College of the North, in The Pas, Manitoba.
Passion and Mission
Teachers are organic, transforming, and evolving professionals through time. My main slogans is: the constant search to improve my pedagogy, to understand the needs of the students, to find the most appropriate ways to serve the community. Society needs teachers who serve as role models, who seek knowledge and its application, and who serve to build a better world for all, and that is me.
Commitment
There is a natural vocation to serve, to help, and to teach.
