Family Portraits and Favorite Pictures - 2023

Sure enjoyed having the kids home for winter break.

Once they were back at school, we enjoyed a quick weekend in Houston.

Here is Tank swimming at the beach ... in January ... and still as happy as can be.

Spring arrived just after our only real snow of the season.

We sure enjoyed a great spring break trip to Cancun, Mexico.  The resort was great, the excursions even better.  We went to the Mayan archeological sites at Chichén Itzá and Tulum, went swimming in a couple cenotes, and snorkeling in the ocean and an tidal inlet.

Really, really enjoyed a Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band concert with the kids at Penn State.

Or just general fun with the dog (and cat), especially when he refused to get out of the creek below.

Mom came to see us in late April, in time for Andy's graduation in May.

Time for the College of Engineering graduation at Penn State University.  So proud of Andy.

Enjoyed a trip on the Potomac River a couple days later.

After his graduation from Penn State, we took Andy on a celebratory trip to Greece and Spain, starting in Athens.

Time to begin the sailing part of the adventure.  First stop was at the island of Aegina.

Next stop Poros

The next day was a visit to Hydra, then back to Poros.

On to Kythnos

Next up was Syros.

Our final stop in the Greek islands was at Mykonos.

Next up on our trip was Barcelona, Spain.

We headed to Chicago a couple weeks later

Fun in Ocean City the next weekend.

Fun at the beach, or just on the water.

Steve and Andy had fun wake-boarding.

We had another nice day on the river in August, this time spotting a number of eagles and osprey.

Fun in North Carolina for Lazy Days

Lots of fun over Labor Day.

We enjoyed a trip to Maine and Acadia NP at the end of September while Andy had a week break from school.

Steve and Andy enjoyed watching the Bears beat the Washington Commanders in October.

They also enjoyed a late fall kayak paddle at the beach, while Tank really enjoyed a swim later.  Both events had well earned naps afterwards.

Nancy wasn't at the beach that weekend as she had a business trip to Florida.

Nancy and Andy enjoyed a trip to Missouri to see dad and attend the Marine Corps Ball.

Nice to have both kids home for Thanksgiving break.

A successful trip to Chicago before Christmas to move Andy into his new apartment.

Enjoyed meeting up with Cathy, Ken and Sandra in Richmond just before Christmas.
