Delaware Beach House Trip

Still pretty cold and windy in early April, but still enjoyed a nice trip to the beach.  Got a bit of work done at the unit and paid a visit to the Ocean City Lifesaving Museum which is at the end of the boardwalk by the inlet.  Turned out to be more of an area history museum, but still had a nice display of some of the early lifesaving equipment.  Figured this counts as our annual visit to the boardwalk.  Too crowded even on a cold April day.  We did make an interesting stop to check out some items for sale on the way home ... no purchase ... yet.

Tank enjoyed a very, very cold swim.  Was so good to see him with some energy after the medical Odyssey of the last month with his diabetes diagnosis.  He is still walking slowly and was pretty hobbled in the water, but still insisted on chasing a stick.

He earned his nap.

Glad to see so much wildlife in the area.  Looks like the ospreys are back to their nest again.  There also appeared to be another osprey nest on the far side of the wetlands.  Enjoyed seeing heron fishing right off the deck.  These were taken on different days.
