March 2024 (Part 09) Springtime at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Easter Sunday dawned a bit overcast, despite that we headed to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens to look at the spring blooms. Lexi was in town, but Nancy wasn't feeling well after getting a shingles vaccine, so it was Steve and Lexi. There were a number of families there with small kids for an Easter egg hunt, which turned out to be an effort to find painted wooden egg signs then run back to collect a prize.
While there was a lot of the early blooms up and the cherry trees were stunning, there was a lot that still hadn't bloomed.
We went left, then clockwise around the lower ponds. Loved these turtles hanging out on the log.
That put us at the Korean bell garden and pagoda.
The Bonzai club had a representative there, so we were able to get inside the Hillside Gazebo to see some of their projects.
Time to head back up hill
