Dulles Plane Pull

SAIC organized two teams for the Dulles Plane Pull in early September, a charity event to benefit the Special Olympics.  They hadn't sorted who would participate in which pull, despite them being separated by over an hour.  Nancy and Rob, who is the SAIC PM for the other, smaller contract supporting SSPO, were the only people we knew.

We lined up for the first pull with a really big group.

As Steve didn't work for SAIC, he decided to be a photographer.

They made each group get on a scale, which required us to split the team into two groups.  Turned out we won some contest of weight against the time it took to pull the plan a set distance (10 or 15 feet).

We hung around a bit, then realized most people had left and there was only a small group available for the next pull.  So, with Steve now drafted, we did a second pull (getting some help from the organizers) before heading home.  Glad it wasn't hotter on the tarmac.
