Andy came back in the middle of his European vacation to attend the orientation session for his grad school program at Northwestern University.  Since it was in Chicago, Steve tagged along to help get a rental car and to see his mom.  They were able to get there in time to go to a Cubs game that afternoon.  The Cubs lost the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 4-3.  But, Cubs starter Justin Steele retired all nine batters he faced before exiting with tightness in his left forearm after the third inning.  The Cubs were up 2-0 by the bottom of the first.  The Rays then pulled even in the Seventh, while the Cubs got one in the bottom of the seventh to go up again.  The Rays got two in the eighth to go ahead 4-3.  The Cubs then stranded bases full in the eighth and ninth without getting the tying run.  It made for an exciting game, and the Cubs still took two of three from the best team in the American League at that point of the season.

After the game, we stopped by the see Uncle Matt.  A stray cat had kittens in his backyard, so he was caring for them for a bit.  The mom had been coming by every day and eventually took all but one down the alley with her.
