April 2024 (Part 01) Solar Eclipse A solar eclipse passed over most of the continental US on April 8th, with people in a roughly 115-mile wide strip from Texas to Maine experiencing a total eclipse while almost the entire CONUS saw at some level of eclipse. We had a an 87% obscuration in DC.
Steve watched the eclipse from the back of the KBR building. He tried to get a picture through either the viewing glasses or a piece of obsidian we got from Mexico. As you can see, that didn't work out too well.
