Delaware Beach

Have had a number of really enjoyable weekends at the beach lately.

With Tanks staples out, he was cleared to go swimming again.  We really weren't sure how this would work.  Nancy had the great idea of using his life jacket to help him, as we weren't sure how well he would be able to swim with only three legs.  Once he saw it, he started off to the kayak beach on his own.  We hurried after him with the wagon.  Every time he stopped and Steve reached to try and pick him up, he would start off again.  I think he was worried we might head somewhere else.  He practically ran the last section.  Can't believe he walked the whole way there.  He then wouldn't get out of the water until he could barely keep moving.  He was barking and jumping for us to throw the stick, just like his old "puppy" self.  So wonderful to see.  Even got a huge thumbs up when we sent a picture to Andy who was still on his trip in Europe.  He couldn't quite swim straight, so had his tail off at almost a 90-degree angle, and slapping the water, to help right the ship.
