Fun On The Potomac River

We headed out on a boat with just the two of us.  We headed south and spent some time anchored in a nice cove, then came back north looking for eagles.  The first one we spotted took off before we could even get nearby.

As they all did, this eagle took flight when we got close.  But, it then circled back and passed near us.

We also saw several ospreys.

A pretty stretch on the river.

Didn't notice the second raptor on the branch in the background until we got home and looked at the image.  Looks like it was a juvenile, as we could see it was mottled once it took to flight.

Surprised this osprey.

Enjoyed seeing ospreys nesting on the channel markers on our way back in.

We've been collecting sharks teeth from the beach in Wades Bay.
