Delaware Beach House (With Grandma Pat)

With Andy's college graduation next week, Steve's mom came in to visit.  Despite the weather not really cooperating, we decided to head to the beach for the weekend (well at least for Saturday, as it rained all the way out on Friday and most of the drive home on Sunday).

Tank enjoyed having the extra person in the car as it meant Steve sat with him and got to pet him for a long, long time.

The amount of water in the marsh was amazing, higher than I think we've ever seen it.  Worse, it turned out these first pictures were taken away from high-tide, as the water went up during the morning.  Gladly, it was much closer to normal by Sunday morning.

We went out kayaking in the morning.  Steve took Pat out in the double.  Glad for the new boat as it was much easier to paddle, especially by himself.

Here are cropped versions.  Too bad mom didn't realize Nancy was taking a picture for two in the middle.  She thought Nancy was leaning back to take a picture of the sky, without realizing there was camera on the face side of the phone.  So instead of smiling, she was confused and asking questions.  Oh well.  At least we got here to smile a bit for the other ones.

Tank was back in his happy place.  Yep, time for a nap.

In the afternoon, we just enjoyed the day.  Here is Steve working on Andy's graduation present while Tank supervises.

Glad to see the bedroom carpeting was finally done.  Also enjoyed hush puppies with shrimp for dinner (yes, in that order).
