MLB Spring Training in Arizona

Steve went to Phoenix in mid-March for work and was able to take in two Major League Baseball spring training games.  The first was with Gavin to see the Giants vs Rockies, which the Giants won 14-11.  Yep, 25 runs, which made for a fun game to watch.  On the down side, it was 104 degrees at the start.  But the sun set in the first inning and the temperature dropped pretty quickly.  In all, we were reasonably comfortable during the game.

I went to see the Cubs play the Reds the next night.  Alas, the Cubs lost 8-6.  But they did get what would have been the winning run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, only to end the game on a broken-bat blooper to second.  Oh well.

A fun environment.
